In this blog you will get some basic information about the Erasmus Accreditation 2021 - 2027. We will highlight the most important insights you have to be aware of in order to submit a high quality application.

Deadline: 29 October 2020 at 12:00 CET.
Online applications: here.

Award of the Erasmus accreditation confirms that the applicant has set up a plan to implement high quality mobility activities as part of a wider effort to develop their organisation - Erasmus Plan.

Different applications:
  • Erasmus accreditation for School Education,
  • Erasmus accreditation for Vocational Education and Training,
  • Erasmus accreditation for Adult Education,
  • Erasmus accreditation for Youth.

Be careful with the eligibility criteria. If your organization is eligible for more than one field and you would like to apply for Erasmus+ funds in the future in different fields, you need to submit separate Erasmus accreditation applications.

Eligible criteria, rules, award criteria and other important information are available in the official Call for accreditation.
Regardless if you are experienced Erasmus+ coordinator or inexperienced one, there are some important insights to be aware of.

#1: Coherence
The chapters in the Erasmus accreditation application form needs to tell your evaluators a coherent story. Remember to balance them and integrate separate answers in order to show your needs and plans for internationalization. For instance: a question under the chapter Background - What are the most important needs and challenges your organisation is currently facing? The answer to this question is important also for your Erasmus Plan objectives. Additionally, your internationalization strategy needs to highlight the same challenges and needs as your Erasmus Plan.

#2: Internationalisation strategy
Internationalisation strategy is not an obligatory part of the application, but it is strongly recommended. In the award criteria there is a strong emphasis on the context of your organization, European added value and European education. In the strategic document you can explain your internationalization context in much more concrete and clear way than in the application form.

#3: Virtual cooperation
In the light of the current Covid-19 pandemic much more emphasis will be given to all existing and new digital cooperation. Highlight your experience with digital cooperation and prepare plans for both digital and face-to-face cooperation with your partners.
